2018 HPERB Results

The 2018 Health Professions Educational Requirements Board (HPERB) results are now available. This document lists Air Force GME requirements for AY 2019 and pre-selects for AY 2020.

Version 3 (dated 13 Jul 18) of the HPERB is now posted below. Ensure you are using this version when applying to MODS.  Version changes are annotated on the cover page for convenience.

2018 HPERB Results (Medical Corps Training Requirements for AY19/20) - Version 3

Applicants to Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Walter Reed, Portsmouth, or San Diego locations must interview with both the Radiology PD and the Internship PD. Walter Reed will use Internal Medicine PGY1. Portsmouth and San Diego will use Transitional Year PGY1. Please see the Navy page of the Program Director Contact List for POC information.

Notice To Applicants

The 2018 Joint Service Graduate Medical Education Selection Board (JSGMESB) application window opens 1 July 2018

You will be able to access the instructions and application forms by selecting the appropriate links under the "GME Application Instructions" link in the right margin of this page. The Medical Operational Data System (MODS) website will open on 1 July 2018 and will remain open until midnight (ET) on 31 August 2018 for completion of the initial electronic portion of the Military GME application. Your DoD application and Curriculum Vitae may be downloaded from the MODS website once you have entered your information.

NOTE:  MODS will not be accessible from computers that are not on the military network throughout the 2018 JSGMESB application cycle. Applicants will not be able to access MODS via personal computers and school computers at this time. For affected applicants, a fillable PDF application will be available on this site. See GME Application Instructions for additional details.

No new applications will be accepted after 31 August 2018. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

All enrolled applicants will be able to continue to update their application and upload documents until the application window closes Midnight ET 15 October 2018

Interviews with Military Program Directors must be completed no later than 7 October 2018.

Letter writers may obtain a MODS password to upload their letters of recommendation if accessing MODS from the military network.

If you do not already have a MODS account, you will need to "REQUEST A LOGONID" on the MODS website at: https://education.mods.army.mil/MEDED/UserLogon/UserLogon.asp

2018 JSGMESB Results

Air Force GME results will be released at 0001 EST, 12 Dec 2018 (12:01 AM EST) to align with the Army and Navy GME results release.

Applicants may review their results by logging in to MODS and clicking the STATUS tab then click Board Status Summary.

Training offer letters/contracts will be available in MODS by close of business on 19 Dec 2018. Applicants selected for training or alternates for training MUST sign the letter accepting or declining the training offer and upload it to MODS no later than 15 Jan 2019. Failure to do so may result in losing the training opportunity. Medical Student applicants cannot decline training.
