2017 JSGMESB Results

Air Force GME results will be released at 0001 EST, 13 Dec 2017 (12:01 AM EST) to align with the Army and Navy GME results release.

Applicants may review their results by logging in to MODS and clicking the STATUS tab then click Board Status Summary.

Training offer letters/contracts will be available in MODS by close of business on 20 Dec 2017. Applicants selected for training or alternates for training MUST sign the letter accepting or declining the training offer and upload it to MODS no later than 5 Jan 2018. Failure to do so may result in losing the training opportunity. Medical Student applicants cannot decline training.

2017 HPERB Results

The 2018 Health Professions Educational Requirements Board (HPERB) results will be posted to this website in June 2018. This document will list Air Force GME requirements for AY 2019 and pre-selects for AY 2020.

2017 HPERB Results (Medical Corps Training Requirements for AY18/19)

Applicants to Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Walter Reed, Portsmouth, or San Diego locations must interview with both the Radiology PD and the Internship PD. Walter Reed will use Internal Medicine PGY1. Portsmouth and San Diego will use Transitional Year PGY1. Please see the Navy page of the Program Director Contact List for POC information.

Application instructions for Developmental Fellowships (non-GME) will not be through MODS. Additional application information for these fellowships can be found at the Medical Corps KX.

2017 JSGMESB Notice To Applicants

The 2017 Joint Service Graduate Medical Education Selection Board (JSGMESB)

Application window opens 1 July 2017

You will be able to access the instructions and application forms by selecting the appropriate links under the "Instructions for Applicants" title below. The Medical Operational Data System (MODS) website will open on 1 July 2017 and will remain open until Midnight on 31 August 2017 for completion of the initial electronic portion of the Military GME application. Your DoD application and Curriculum Vitae may be downloaded from the MODS website once you have entered your information.

No new applications will be accepted after 31 August 2017. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

All enrolled applicants will be able to continue to update their application and upload documents until the application window closes Midnight EST 15 October 2017. All JSGMESB applicants will load their own application documents into MODS.

Once applications and supporting documents are uploaded into MODS, applicants will receive an updated email checklist regarding the status of their application.

Interviews with Military Program Directors must be completed no later than 7 October 2017.

Letter writers may obtain a MODS password to upload their letters of recommendation.

Medical School Officials may obtain a MODS password to upload the MSPE and Med School Transcripts.
