The 2019 Health Professions Educational Requirements Board (HPERB) has been approved. This HPERB document lists Air Force GME requirements for AY 2020 and pre-selects for AY 2021. Note: Version 3 was published 29 Jul 2019 and supersedes previous versions.

The 2019 Joint Service Graduate Medical Education Selection Board (JSGMESB) application window opens 9 July 2019
You will be able to access the instructions and application forms by selecting the appropriate links under the "GME Application Instructions" link in the right margin of this page. The Medical Operational Data System (MODS) website will open on 9 July 2019 and will remain open until midnight (ET) on 31 August 2019 for completion of the initial electronic portion of the Military GME application. Your DoD application and Curriculum Vitae may be downloaded from the MODS website once you have entered your information.
No new applications will be accepted after 31 August 2019. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
All enrolled applicants will be able to continue to update their application and upload documents until the application window closes midnight (ET) 15 October 2019.
Interviews with Military Program Directors must be completed no later than 7 October 2019.

Letter writers may obtain a MODS password to upload their letters of recommendation if accessing MODS from the military network.
If you do not already have a MODS account, you will need to "REQUEST A LOGONID" on the MODS website at: https://education.mods.army.mil/MEDED/UserLogon/UserLogon.asp

UPDATE (29 Nov 2018): Air Force GME results will be released at 1200 EST, 12 Dec 2018 (noon EST) to align with the Army and Navy GME results release.
MODS will send an email notification to all applicants containing their results. Applicants with access to MODS may also review their results by logging in to MODS and clicking the STATUS tab then click Board Status Summary.
Training offer letters/contracts will be coordinated via MODS and/or email by the Physician Education office. Applicants selected for training MUST sign the letter accepting or declining the training offer no later than 15 Jan 2019. Failure to do so may result in losing the training opportunity. Medical Student applicants cannot decline training.
