COLONEL PAUL R. BREZINSKI

Col Paul R. Brezinski is Commander of the 49th Medical Group, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. He is responsible for the health and wellness of all personnel assigned to the 49th Wing as well as assigned mission partners. He directs medical operations to maintain combat-ready deployable medical units, manages a $10 million budget to provide comprehensive healthcare to more than 18,000 beneficiaries, promotes wellness and fitness through an aggressive health promotion program, and ensures compliance with health and environmental regulatory standards. 

Col Brezinski attended the Air Force Academy and received a commission in 1995 as a Medical Service Corps (MSC) officer. He has held a variety of different positions within the medical service including Administrator, Group Practice Manager, Director of Managed Care, Associate Professor and two squadron commands. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and a Fellow for the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). 

Prior to his current position, the Colonel was the Group Administrator, 48th Medical Group, Royal Air Force Lakenhealth, England.
