    The Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center celebrated 25 years of operation during a ceremony attended by base and community leadership at Nellis Air Force Base, Nov. 12.

    Nellis Pharmacy: New technology, services assisting patients

    Patients receiving care from Mike O’Calllaghan Military Medical Center Main Pharmacy and Satellite Pharmacy at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, can now be assisted by new equipment and and services provided. The pharmacies are adding new tools and services to support 238,000 Department of Defense beneficiaries and process about 2,500 outpatient prescriptions per day.

    Robotic system advances minimally invasive surgery

    The 99th Surgical Operations Squadron (MSGS) performed their first robotic general surgery using the da Vinci Surgery System, April 3, at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center.

    The 99th Medical Group at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas offers a wide range of services to maintain Airman readiness and care to their families. What many may not know, is the importance of their plastic surgery practice.

    Interagency exercise boosts medical readiness

    The 99th Medical Group, Department of Veterans Affairs and Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps participated in a federal coordination exercise, Feb. 19, simulating a mass airlift operation to extract casualties following a disaster.

    Nellis Airman recognized as Angel of the Battlefield

    Senior Airman Linda Wilson, an aerospace medical technician with the 99th Medical Operations Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, was recognized at the 12th Annual Angels of the Battlefield Awards Gala on October 2, 2018 for extraordinary lifesaving efforts during the deadliest shooting in modern American History.
