Patrick Cichon, Commander of the 129th Medical Group, Emergency Medicine Physician, and Flight Surgeon, repatriates World War II artifacts to the Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Museum on July 20, 2024. These artifacts were preserved by Cichon’s late father, USMC Staff Sgt. Casimir Joseph Cichon, during and after the Battle of Okinawa. As a gesture of goodwill and a commitment to strengthening partnerships, Cichon returned these and other artifacts to the Japanese people on behalf of his father.
