WEAR program enables Airmen and Guardians’ permissive TDY status to aid recruiting efforts
Airmen and Guardians looking to help inspire, engage and recruit the future force by participating first-hand in events that enhance the Department of the Air Force’s recruiting mission are encouraged to look into the We Are All Recruiters, or WEAR, program. Members may receive up to 14 total days permissive TDY to participate, with approval for WEAR program limited to those events where Airmen are directly speaking to potential applicants or influencers about Air Force opportunities; mere attendance at an event does not qualify. 37 AS pilot physician paves way for women in aviation
This layout and design graphic was created to accompany a feature story to highlight U.S. Air Force Maj. Sandra Salzman’s mother, Retired Col. Lesa Juday, former judge advocate general, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, March 17, 2023. It depicts older newspapers from stories about Juday while she was in the Air Force and a full-length portrait photo of Juday as a scrapbooking page. One of Salzman’s motivators in her career is her mother, who fought for gender equality for female service members during her career. After her retirement, Juday became a Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps instructor at Lackey High School, Maryland. (U.S. Air Force graphic by Airman 1st Class Madelyn Keech)
