  • Joint, total force enhances MacDill EOD training

    For the first time, the 6th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, used its semiannual training as the foundation for something more. The 927th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, Joint Communication Support Element and the U.S. Army’s 5-159th G-Company General Support Aviation Battalion from Clearwater, Fla. joined the EOD team for a joint, total force training exercise, July 2, 2018.
  • 59 MDW expands wounded warrior care at MacDill AFB

    MacDill Air Force Base’s 6th Medical Wing’s dermatology clinic partnered with members from the 59th MDW to learn fractional laser resurfacing, a treatment used by the 59th MDW since 2007, providing patient-centered care to wounded warriors with traumatic amputations, burns and severe scarring.
  • Air Force hones skills with emerging infectious diseases training

    Exercise New Horizons 2018 is a joint military training exercise between the U.S. and Panama. During the exercise, U.S. Air Force doctors, public health specialists and other personnel collaborated with the Gorgas Institute at the University of Panama and the Panamanian Ministry of Health to conduct an emerging infectious disease training event.
