SOUTHCOM donates field hospitals to support COVID-19 response in Costa Rica

Loadmasters, assigned to the 15th Airlift Squadron from Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, offload a mobile field hospital from a C-17 Globemaster III at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica, Sept. 19, 2020. Aircrew, assigned to the 15th Airlift Squadron, transported the large mobile field hospital from Charleston to Kingston, where it will be donated to health care providers and used to support the Caribbean nation’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation, was part of U.S. Southern Command’s ongoing assistance to nations responding to the global pandemic in the Caribbean and Latin America and funded by the command’s Humanitarian Assistance Program.
