The Exceptional Family Member Program is a mandatory enrollment program administered by the medical community that works with key community agencies to identify active duty sponsors who have family members with special educational or medical needs.
One goal is to protect the Federal entitlements and military benefits of family members as they move around the world with their active duty sponsors.
Air Force Personnel Center Assignments, Procedures and Programs also coordinates reassignments for active duty sponsors when family members’ needs cannot be met in the current location.
