  • AFMS and Hurricane Katrina: 10-years later

    On Aug. 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region. The Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) provided critical support to the relief efforts before, during, and after the storm. In all, the Air Force deployed over 18,000 active duty and 45,000 Air National Guard (ANG) in response to
