  • 2nd MDG deactivate and re-designate squadrons

    The 2nd Medical Group held a deactivation ceremony and re-designation ceremonies on September 18. The official ceremony included deactivation of the 2nd Dental Squadron, re-designation of the 2nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron and the 2nd Medical Operations Squadron as the 2nd Operational Medical Readiness Squadron and the 2nd Health Care Operations Squadron respectively.

As he signed autographs and posed for photographs, Herschel Walker began football talk. The former running back from the University of Georgia and NFL gave his insight about the past weekend’s games and what he thinks of the season to come.
  • Dental lab: Behind the scenes artists

    Airmen may need crowns, retainers, night guards or some other form of dental gear. To provide this, dentists take impressions of the patient’s mouth. Once made, they’re taken to the dental lab where the technicians make a mold from the impression. This is the part patients don’t get to witness.
  • Barksdale medical team supports exercise in Panama

    Five members of the 2nd Medical Group, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, joined an expert team of U.S. Airmen, Marines and Soldiers in support of Exercise New Horizons 2018 in Panama.
