  • New training prepares Airmen to save lives

    Airmen are “arming up” their life-saving skills with Tactical Combat Casualty Care, also known as TCCC. TCCC is a standardized course created to equip every Airman, Soldier, Sailor and Marine with the basic skills to save lives in combat operations. Replacing the Air Force’s Self Aid and Buddy Care Program, TCCC teaches Airmen to treat injuries until medical care arrives.

    It was chaotic. People were screaming. There was smoke coming out of the large sports utility vehicle that was smashed against a tree at the in front of a forest. A frantic woman clutching a child panics and cries for help near the vehicle. Miraculously, three Moody Air Force Base Airmen with life-saving medical knowledge were in the traffic caused by the accident and rushed in to help.
  • Reservists respond to vehicle accident, help save lives

    After completing two combined training assemblies, four 433rd Airlift Wing Airmen began a three-hour journey home to Houston, Texas, Aug 16., when they came upon an automobile accident on Interstate Highway 10.
