250817-N-KC192-1052 NORFOLK, Va. (Aug. 17, 2025) Capt. Katheryn Stewart, the executive officer of the Mercy-class hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), hugs Rear Adm. Robert Hawkins, commander, Naval Medical Forces Atlantic (NMFL), and director, Defense Health Network (DHN) - Atlantic after Comfort returns to Naval Station Norfolk, Aug. 17, 2025. Comfort returned from its summer deployment to the U.S. Southern Command area of operations as part of U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S.4th Fleet’s Continuing Promise 2025 mission. The ship and crew completed six mission visits to Grenada, Panama, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, providing direct care to thousands of patients.
