87th Medical Group Implements Advanced Life Support Services

U.S. Air Force Capt. Joseph Cervone, 87th Medical Group flight surgeon, poses for a picture with emergency medical technicians and paramedics from the 87th MDG at the Advanced Life Support ribbon-cutting ceremony on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Feb. 10, 2023. Cervone was a prior paramedic-turned-active EMS medical director who received recognition for ensuring that the paramedics were ready to be signed off on all of the skills they received after training. The ALS ribbon-cutting ceremony was a celebratory event for Joint Base MDL in achieving ALS status. The 87th MDG can now provide more life-saving care that falls under ALS, such as administering medications and providing more life-saving interventions. (U.S. Air Force photo by Daniel Barney)
