U.S. Navy Cmdr. David C. Jannotta, Naval Hospital Bremerton radiologist, conducts real-time provider to provider consultation on X-rays sent from 92nd Medical Group at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, which is using MHS GENESIS. The electronic health record has enabled connectivity between the Navy and Air Force military treatment facilities with convenient, timely, and expert interpretation for radiology studies, improving on previous routines that would routinely take 24 to 48 hours. MHS GENESIS allows Naval Hospital Bremerton to ensure 92nd Medical Group providers have results under 30 minutes, allowing for spot disposition for their active duty and beneficiaries patients.
