A radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag device is attached to a Humvee during a Joint Task Force Port Opening familiarization training conducted by the 597th Transportation Brigade and 7th Trans. Bde. (Expeditionary) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., Aug. 17, 2018. Using RFID tags on shipments of supplies and equipment allows the Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility (RF-ITV) system to trace the identity, status and location of cargo from origin to destination, providing global logistics support to the Department of Defense, coalition partners and U.S. allies.
