Breast reconstruction can aid psychological healing

Lt. Col. Owen Johnson III, chief, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, discusses options available for reconstructive surgery after breast cancer to a patient at WBAMC, Sept. 22. As part of Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day on Oct. 19, plastic surgeons and staff will bring awareness to breast cancer patients’ rights to undergo reconstructive surgery following a lumpectomy or mastectomy.
