Lt. Gen. Mark Ediger, the Air Force Surgeon General, spoke at the 2016 AMSUS Continuing Education Meeting about how the Air Force Medical Service leverages partnerships with institutions outside the military health system. He said, "Our experience in the Air Force is that over the last few years we have cultivated and we have become more and more dependent on partnerships as tools to enhance the readiness of our deployable medical force."
