AF Surgeon General visit JBSA

Senior Airman Christopher Masella briefs Surgeon General Lt. Gen. Mark Ediger and Chief Master Sgt. Jason Pace, chief of the Medical Enlisted Force and Enlisted Corps on the 59th Medical Wing's Airman Medical Transition Unit mission May 4 at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The AMTU provides administrative oversight and supervision of Airmen recovering from combat and non-combat related injuries and illnesses. Ediger and Pace visited the 59th MDW May 4 - 5, meeting with senior leaders and Airmen to learn more about the wing's mission of developing warrior medics through patient-centered care.
