The training prepares them to assist civilian medical professionals in the United States. Half of the medical personnel are from the Army, six are from the Air Force and nine from the Navy. The trainers came from the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases in Frederick, Maryland. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Jeffrey Allen)
