High fidelity mannequins provide training realism

U.S. Air Force Capt. Brian Rauch, 99th Medical Operations Squadron family medicine resident, performs compressions on an ISTAN 370 high fidelity mannequin during an advanced cardiac life support training simulation at the Nellis Medical Simulation Center July 29, 2013, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The ISTAN 370 and 379 have the ability to provide medical staff a realistic medical experience with simulated speaking, breathing, pulse, oxygen levels and movements. With simulation, students can make mistakes and see the consequences of their actions without causing injury or death to a real patient. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Christopher Hubenthal)
