Flying Tiger earns DFC

U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Jake Polumbo, Ninth Air Force commander, presents Lt. Col. David Haworth, A-10C Thunderbolt II pilot and former 74th Fighter Squadron commander, with the Distinguished Flying Cross at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., Nov. 14, 2013. Haworth earned the DFC through extraordinary achievement during a combat mission in which he coordinated efforts that saved nearly 60 U.S. personnel and enabled the recovery of a downed flight crew in April 2011.
