Senior Airman Ryan Cureton, assigned to the 422nd Communications Squadron, RAF Croughton, spend the six weeks at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom battling for his life in the intensive care unit with a traumatic brain injury. He is now walking on his own at the Richmond Veteran’s Affairs Polytrauma Rehabilitation Unit, Richmond, Va., where he is scheduled to be released in March.
