A National Science Foundation employee is loaded onto a Thule ambulance Saturday at about 11:30 p.m. after he was medically evacuated from research camp Station Summit nearly 700 miles away from Thule. He is currently being treated at the Thule clinic by a multinational medical staff made up of Danish contractors and American military. The clinic at Thule is unique as it will treat anyone who can make it to the clinic, including patients from outlying villages (Photo by Capt. Ed Jackowski).
