Ironmen help students send words of encouragement

LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. -- Capt Michael Palik, an F-15 Eagle pilot with the 71st Fighter Squadron, helps a group of Conventry Elementary School students in Yorktown, Va., decorate care bags Jan. 14 for soldiers in Iraq. The 71st FS, and other military units on the peninsula have partnered with the school’s PTA and the United Service Organization to assist in implementing a program that helps children send messages of encouragement to soldiers in Iraq.
