Tech. Sgt. Andrea Vera and Senior Airman Sheena Smith, Air Force dental assistants, inventory medical equipment during Operation Pacific Angel in Jessore, Bangladesh, on June 12, 2010. Operation Pacific Angel is a joint and combined humanitarian assistance operation conducted in the Pacific area of responsibility to support U.S. Pacific Command's capacity-building efforts. This humanitarian and civic assistance program is aimed at improving military civic cooperation between the United States and countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region. More than 55 U.S. military personnel are participating in civil and medical assistance programs with the help of the Bangladesh Air Force and local nongovernmental organizations. The operation is scheduled through June 16, 2010. Tech. Sgt. Vera is from the 3rd Dental Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, and Senior Airman Smith is from the 374th Dental Squadron at Yokota Air Base, Japan. (U.S. Air Force photo/1st Lt.
