Battlefield Nursing Course

Staff Sgt. Patrice Alston (left) provides Critical Care Air transport Team training to U.S. Army medical staff from the 28th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Bragg, N.C., and the 48th CSH, Fort George Meade, Md., April 24. The training is part of the pre-deployment Battlefield Nursing Course held at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The course is designed to teach current trauma care concepts to U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy nurses and technicians, as well as foreign nationals. The majority of participants are reservists.
