Operation Onward Liberty

Maj. (Dr.) Joshua Latham gives a patient a medical evaluation during a medical outreach visit July 2, 2013, in Gondor Town, Liberia. The Armed Forces of Liberia led a 14-person medical outreach team including doctors, nurses and a support staff to three villages deep in the jungles of Grand Cape Mount County from July 1 - 4. The medical outreach mission was a first for the AFL which was restructured in 2005 following 15 years of civil war. Latham is an AFL medical mentor deployed with Operation Onward Liberty.
