Iron Airman seeks challenges to better self
U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Katherine Shaw, 633rd Comptroller Squadron budget analyst, is currently training for her third IronMan race, which will take place May 16, 2015. Shaw started participating in the IronMan series as a new challenge after failing pilot training in 2013. Within the past two years, U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Katherine Shaw, 633rd Comptroller Squadron budget analyst, competed in one full and one half IronMan race. Shaw is currently training for her second full IronMan race with a goal of beating her previous finish time of 11 hours 40 minutes. Shaw times herself for each portion of the race to reach her goal.
