Members of the the West Virginia Air National Guard participated in humanitarian assistance and disaster response exercise Cooperation IX, Peru 2023 - A Single Force Against Disasters. The exercise, coordinated by the System of Cooperation Among the American Air Forces, brought together 13 partner nations to develop interoperability in times of emergency response. Collaborating with our Air Force partners during exercises such as Cooperation IX enhances interoperability, builds capabilities and strengthens relationships so we can more easily integrate during real-world crisis. Agile Flag 23-1
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Joshua Zermeylen, 366th Healthcare Operations Squadron family health team lead, provides medical and trauma care for a simulated casualty during Exercise Agile Flag 23-1 at Hunter Army Airfield, Ga, March 4, 2023.
