A team with the 571st Mobility Support Advisory Squadron, based out of Travis Air Force Base, California, and Joint Task Force-Bravo personnel train on elements of Tactical Combat Casualty Care with Honduran military members at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Aug. 3, 2021. U.S. and Honduran forces trained together over a five-day period and focused on emergency care, tourniquet placement, carrying patients, trauma assessments, hemorrhage control, airway and respiratory management, splints for different types of injuries including burns and fractures, and evacuation procedures. 1st Lts Cheryl Smith and Zach Cates, 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron nurses, transport a litter 'patient' to the litter stantions for care on the the KC-46A Pegasus, flown by the 77th Air Refueling Squadron from the 916th Air Refueling Wing, during their training on the newest Air Force air refueling tanker, August 16-19, 2022. Aeromedical personnel are required to train on all airframes with patient care transport capability.
