Be prepared to “spring forward” at 2 a.m. Sunday morning March 13. Goodfellow Fire Emergency Services encourages everyone to change the batteries of the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as they set their clocks to reflect daylight saving time.

Batteries should be replaced at least once a year. Changing them while setting your clocks serves as a great reminder. Additionally, smoke alarms should be tested monthly to ensure they’re going to work when you need them most.
