Hymel Air Force Surgeon General Public Affairs FALLS CHURCH, Va. -- Senior Airman Michael Allen Elbo is this week’s Air Force Medical Service Trusted Care Hero. An allergy/immunization technician with the 71st Medical Operations Squadron at Vance Air Force Base, Okla., Elbo is recognized for saving the life of a patient in respiratory distress. He is also recognized for maintaining his wing’s immunization ready rate of 98 percent, impressive for 19 squadrons comprising 1,209 members; and training five members on new internet based training. His recent brief to the new wing vice commander and civilian honorary commander was praised as “Articulate!” He also holds one Wing, two Squadron Awards and has received three senior leader coins.
