101 medical officers promoted to major, lieutenant colonel

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas --  More than 100 captains and majors were selected for promotion during the 2013B Lieutenant Colonel Medical Science Corps and 2013A Major MSC Central Selection Boards, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced.

The promotion boards considered 155 majors and 66 captains for promotion. The results of the boards are as follows:

Selected for promotion to lieutenant colonel:
In the promotion zone: 33 selected from 47 considered for 70.2 percent select rate
Above the promotion zone: 3 selected from 19 considered for 15.8 percent select rate
Below the promotion zone: 4 selected from 89 considered for 4.5 percent select rate

Selected for promotion to major:
In the promotion zone: 61 selected from 64 considered for 95.3 percent select rate
Above the promotion zone: 0 selected from 2 considered
