BSC development team convenes in August

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas --  The Biomedical Sciences Corps development team will convene Aug. 18-22 to consider qualified BSC officers for advanced academic degrees, Air Force Personnel Center officials said today.

Interested, eligible officers must submit an "intent to apply" email to AFPC by July 31, and updated, leadership-endorsed Airmen Development Plans must be complete by Aug. 14.

To be considered, candidates at minimum must have completed rank-appropriate professional military education, have a passing fitness score, and have at least three years between completing one educational assignment and beginning the next.

In addition to 15 advanced academic degrees, 18 fellowship and five residency options are available ranging from a PhD in clinical social work to an optometry residency with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
