AFMS team claims Healthcare Innovation Award Published April 29, 2007 By Master Sgt. Richard B. Searles Air Force Surgeon General Public Affairs WASHINGTON -- Microsoft Healthcare Users Group and Microsoft Corp., has selected the Air Force Medical Service's data modeling and analysis team as a winner in their 10th annual MS-HUG awards. The team won first place in the "Best Use of Outcomes Reporting" category. Members of the team include: Lt. Col. Jerome Hyzy, Lt. Col. (Dr.) Sean Moore, Maj. Ted Woolley, Maj. Abdy Moghaddam, Capt. Greg Feltenberger, Master Sgt. Cris Coerbell, and Mr. Rick May, representing IMS Government Solutions. According to the official new release, this year's honors were awarded to healthcare organizations that have demonstrated significant advancements, innovation and success using Microsoft technology in the healthcare industry, ultimately helping solve major business issues and improving quality of patient care. All finalists and winners were announced during the Health Information and Management Systems Society Conference 2007 in New Orleans in late February. Other award finalists included Premise Corp.; Children's Hospital and Health System Inc.; University of North Carolina Health Care System; digiChart Inc.; George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates; Maccabi Healthcare Services; the Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory; and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
