A holiday message from Lt. Gen. Green and Chief Cole Published Dec. 15, 2010 By Lt. Gen. (Dr.) Bruce C. Green Air Force Surgeon General and Chief Master Sgt. Charlie Cole Chief, Medical Enlisted Force WASHINGTON -- As we reflect during the holiday season on the previous year and all we have accomplished, we are extremely proud to be serving with you. Active-duty, Reserve, Guard and civilian members of the Air Force Medical Service can reflect on 2010 with extraordinary pride. Your work benefitted so many around the world! You serve in virtually every time zone, climate and locale. You do the job in steady-state operations or deployed for uncertain lengths of time and all too often at great risk and sacrifice. Although every American truly appreciates your contributions, they cannot fully comprehend the selfless commitment you and your family members show each and every day, wherever you serve. Whether in-garrison or deployed, all of you performed brilliantly. Thank you for representing the Air Force and our nation and making both stand out as best in the world. If you will be close to friends and family this season remember deployed teammates and their families, as they endure holidays separated from each other. If you are in a deployed location, join together with your extended AFMS family to make the holidays special. As you have superbly taken care of all of our warriors and patients at home and abroad, now watch over and care for each other. Especially care for the youngest troops who may not be accustomed to being away from home during the holiday season. We need every one of you to return safely in January to continue our mission in the world's greatest Air Force. We look forward to serving with you in the New Year. You are an incredibly talented and dedicated team and continue to change the world, by improving the care we provide. "Trusted Care Anywhere" takes the entire team! We could not be prouder to serve with you.
