"We asked legal about the last time a member of the 97th MDG had been involved in a DUI related incident," said Master Sgt. Louella Campbell, 97th MDG 1st Sgt. "Legal said it has been at least five years because that's as far back as they could go in their records." "When we discovered this, Mr. Carnes said he remembers the last time a member in the 97th MDG was involved in a DUI related incident," Campbell said. "The last time was in May 1989," said Mr. Robert Carnes, 97th MDG facility manager. "One of the guys was caught driving under the influence at the gate." The 97th MDG decided to recognize the members of their team by hosting a lunch at their warehouse. "This is a big accomplishment so we organized this gathering to give positive reinforcement," Campbell said. Chief Master Sgt. Jeffery Maberry, 97th MDG superintendent, organized this gathering. "I encourage everyone to have a plan, call a friend, cab, or Airmen Against Drunk Driving," Campbell said.
