Colonel THOMAS W. STAMP

Col. Thomas W. Stamp is the Command Surgeon, Headquarters United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa and Third Air Force. As the Command Surgeon, he advises and represents the Major Command's and Numbered Air Force’s Commanders on all aspects of the medical service mission in support of three combatant commands. Col. Stamp facilitates a robust global health engagement program aimed at building partner nation military medical capacity and deliberate crisis action planning efforts to achieve our nation’s objectives throughout Europe and Africa.

Prior to his current position, Col. Stamp was the Command Surgeon, United States Air Force Academy and Commander, 10th Medical Group, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He entered the Air Force in June 1996 through the USAFA. After attending Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire, Col. Stamp reentered active duty in March 2000. He completed his General Surgery residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and has been stationed at Eglin AFB, Florida, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, the USAFA, Colorado, Fort McNair, Washington D.C., and RAF Lakenheath, England. During these assignments, he has been deployed to the Philippines, Iraq, and Afghanistan as a General Surgeon, to Ramstein Air Base as a Critical Care Air Transport Team physician and served as the Commander of the 455 Expeditionary Medical Group and Combined Joint Task Force Medical - Afghanistan at Bagram Airfield and Hamid-Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan.
