Emblem- Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory. Founded on 15 Sep 1934 by Major Malcolm C. Grow and Captain Harry G. Armstrong. Effective 1 Aug 1959, the Aero Medical Laboratory was redesignated the Aerospace Medical Laboratory by WADC G.O. 19, of 1 Aug 1959. Effective 17 Mar 1960, the Aerospace Medical Laboratory was redesignated the Aerospace Medical Division by WADD Letter 20-13 of 17 March 1960. Effective 20 November 1960, the Aerospace Medical Division was again redesignated the Aerospace Medical Laboratory by WADD G.E. 54, of 15 November 1960.
