Care for Acute Kidney Injury

Maj. Ian Stewart with the 60th MDG provides acute kidney care to a patient at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. This equipment is large and bulky, and require a lot of specialized liquid to provide care, so it cannot be deployed outside of a field setting. Maj. Stewart is part of an Air Force research team developing a simpler device to treat acute kidney injuries in a field setting.
