The 18th Medical Group (MDG) Provides world-class health services to over 16.4K beneficiaries at the Air Force’s largest combat wing. We operate the largest PACAF medical and dental clinics with 90 providers supporting 120,000 annual visits, the Air Force's second largest neonatal intensive care unit, the Pacific Command dental laboratory, and the western Pacific’s only Aeromedical Staging Flight.
The 18th Aerospace Medicine Squadron is PACAF's largest and most complex aerospace team, enhancing human performance and minimizing disease at the Air Force's largest combat wing and supporting 52,000 personnel across Okinawa. We support missions utilizing 8 airframes, aeromedical evacuation for the western Pacific, physiology training, and preventive medicine for units from seven major commands and three service branches. We also provide aeromedical staging, bioenvironmental engineering, aerospace medicine, optometry, aerospace physiology, and public health services.
The 18th Dental Squadron provides comprehensive dental services including prevention & general dentistry, as well as six dental specialties. We operates PACAF’s largest dental clinic and support the Air Force's largest combat wing with 16,400 beneficiaries & complete 48,000 patient visits annually. We operate one of three Air Force Area Dental Laboratories, supporting 48 tri-service dental facilities.
The 18th Medical Operations Squadron delivers world-class out-patient, in-patient and specialty care to over 16,400 tri-Svc beneficiaries at the Air Force's largest combat Wing. We operate the Air Force's second largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and PACAF’s busiest Mental Health Clinic. We provide advanced medical capabilities to include Kadena's emergency Medical System, allergy/immunization services, and western Pacific’s sole Critical Care Air Transport Team.
The 18th Medical Support Squadron supports health services in PACAF's largest clinic, for the Air Force's largest combat wing. We provide diagnostics, therapeutic, logistical, technological, administrative, managed care and readiness planning for all staff and 16,400 beneficiaries. We serve as Pacific Command’s Theater Lead Agent for Medical Materiel.
