CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT JAMES K. GRAY II

Chief Master Sergeant James K. Gray II is the Medical Group Superintendent, 633d Medical Group, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He serves as a primary advisor to the Commander and consultant to six Squadron Commanders and Superintendents, for all matters pertaining to training, professional development, education, mentorship, career enhancement, and matters regarding the health, morale, and welfare of over 1,400 total force personnel.

Chief Gray grew up as a military dependent and entered the Air Force in July 1991. He spent the first 13 years of his career in the Inventory Management career field before retraining into the Physical Medicine career field in August, 2003. His career has spanned stateside assignments in North Carolina, North Dakota, Mississippi, Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, and Virginia with overseas tours in Germany and Iceland. Additionally, Chief Gray has deployed in support of Operations Southern Watch and Shining Hope.

Chief Gray is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Colorado and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management and Community College of the Air Force degrees in Logistics and Physical Therapy Assistant.
