Lieutenant Colonel John C. Davis is the commander of the 11th Medical Squadron, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. He directs health services supporting HQ, United States Air Force, Defense Intelligence Agency, Air Force District of Washington, Joint Area Defense Operations Center, White House Communications Agency, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and 184 geographically separated units. As commander, Lieutenant Colonel Davis provides leadership and mentorship to 220 assigned military, 28 civilians, and 23 contract employees among seven flights and three sites. The Medical Squadron delivers preventive, acute and chronic medical and dental care to 454,000 Tri-Service beneficiaries assigned to the National Capital Region. Additionally, he oversees the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency and ensures members plan, train and deploy to support worldwide contingencies.

Lieutenant Colonel Davis received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics in 1998 from Baylor University. He was commissioned in the Air Force through ROTC in 1998, but
delayed entry into active duty to attend dental school. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2002.

He is a prior Dental Squadron Commander, Deputy Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Langley AFB, VA and a graduate of two Air Force general dentistry residencies (AEGD-1 and AEGD-2). During deployments to Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan, he served as the sole dental provider for U.S. and coalition forces. Lieutenant Colonel Davis is board certified with the American Board of General Dentistry.
