According to a recent Veterans Affairs study, 20 military veterans commit suicide every day. This alarming, and in most cases preventable, epidemic is at the forefront of the military’s initiative to provide resources to take care of our nation’s service members and their families. The feelings of hopelessness or isolation can be very overwhelming and can happen to anyone for any number of reasons. The Air Force is educating members of the military to look out for their fellow wingmen and identify those who are struggling from depression or suicidal thoughts.
