Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How can I request refills?
Call the automated refill phone system at (229) 257-3455 or (800) 292-8458. These numbers are located on top of all prescription labels. You may also request refills on www.tricareonline.com. For non-controlled medications, you can request your refill after 75% of the day supply has elapsed.
  2. How long will it take before I can pick up my refill request?
Generally, prescriptions requested before 10:00 a.m. will be ready for pick up the following duty day. The automated refill phone system will give you the specific time and day when your prescription will be ready.
  3. How long do you hold my prescription?
Most prescriptions will be held for 7 duty days. If you are unable to pick up your prescription in that timeframe, please call the location where your prescription is located and let us know so your medications remain on the shelf for you and are not returned to stock.
  4. What do I do if I run out of refills?
Please contact your provider for a new prescription. On-base providers will electronically enter them into our system. Off-base providers may either provide you with a hand written prescription or electronically send the prescription to us.
  5. How do I get my medication when my provider orders it electronically?
We do not fill any prescriptions automatically. When a provider enters a new order for medication, you will need to present to the pharmacy to have it "ACTIVATED."
  6. Can I get my medication filled at Moody AFB when it was previously filled at a different pharmacy?
Yes, this is called a prescription transfer. Please present to the pharmacy to give us the prescription and pharmacy information so we can contact them. These requests may take up to 3 duty days.
