The TRICARE Family Member Dental Plan is dental insurance for family members of active duty personnel for care by civilian dentists. Active duty personnel are encouraged to enroll their family members in the TRICARE Family Member Dental Plan to avoid paying full price for their family members' dental care. About us: The Flight Medicine Clinic provides routine medical care to pilots, navigators, air traffic controllers, flight engineers and all personnel holding a 1042 clearance. After duty-hours, flyers should go to the Madigan Army Medical Center Emergency Department. The flight surgeon on-call will be notified of ED visits by flying personnel. Should a flyer be seen in any ER or outside of MAMC, it is their responsibility to notify the flight surgeon as soon as possible by calling the clinic. Flyers may not fly until cleared by a flight surgeon after receiving treatment in the ED or from a provider outside the hospital. For all routine and acute appointments, please call TRICARE at 1-800-404-4506. To schedule a PHA; 10th, 4th, 7th, and 8th AS squadrons contact block scheduling; all other flyers call clinic number to get scheduled.

About us: The Health and Wellness Center is responsible for administering the Air Force Health Promotions Program. The objective is to furnish individuals with knowledge and skills that encourage healthy lifestyle behaviors. Services include tobacco cessation classes, fitness assessments, nutrition education, stress management, education on cardiovascular disease and cancer prevention. All eligible beneficiaries and DoD civilians may participate in program services. The HAWC has a complimentary staff of medical personnel, including a registered dietitian, health promotions manager and exercise physiologist. Class hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Some of the vaccines we offer have specific times that you may need to consider: Smallpox is given only on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to start time to fill out necessary paperwork. TB tests (PPD tests) are given during normal duty hours, except Thursdays, down days and holidays. You must be able to return within 48-72 hours to have PPD skin test read.

About us: The Public Health office manages Non-Fly PHAs, deployment medicine, and occupational health programs to ensure a healthy and fit Airmen community. They identify and coordinate required ancillary care such as immunizations and laboratory as well as needed examinations by a physician or occupational specialist. Non-Fly PHA appointments can be scheduled by calling 253-982-1520. Deployment medicine ensures deploying members are medically qualified to deploy, administers all the Pre- and Post-Deployment Related Health Assessments and ensures all deploying members are aware of potential health risks in their theater of operation. Occupational health provides workplace hazard education and determines hazard-specific medical screening requirements for military and civilian personnel.
