About us: We accept electronic prescriptions in lieu of faxes. Please have providers send e-scripts to: Department of Defense Joint Base Charleston 204 W Hill Boulevard, South Carolina 29404. You may present hard-copy prescription to the pharmacy. Our providers at the 628th Medical Group may directly enter your prescription to the pharmacy using a shared system. You must activate prescriptions at the pharmacy window or over-the-phone before pharmacy staff will begin to process prescriptions. If your prescription is from an off-base provider and you present with it after 4 p.m. it will be processed for pick-up the following duty day. We accept prescriptions entered from a Naval Health Clinic provider. Electronic prescriptions or prescriptions from a Joint Base Charleston clinic provider may be activated by phone for pick-up the following duty day after 2 p.m. If same-day pick-up is required, you must activate the prescription in person. We can transfer current unexpired formulary prescriptions from other pharmacies with the exception of certain controlled medications. Simply drop off your current prescription bottle or label and we will contact your pharmacy to transfer the prescription within five duty days. We do not accept prescriptions via fax.
