Seventy one years ago today, the U.S. Air Force became an independent service, creating a new breed of warriors to own and protect the skies. Ever since, Airmen have protected America from air, space and cyberspace aggression.
Each squadron in the Air Force faces different stressors and health challenges that require unique solutions. General David Goldfein, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, is leading an effort to revitalize Air Force squadrons.
Air National Guard Airmen are key to supporting Total Force readiness. Training agreements with civilian hospitals are vital to helping them achieve this support.
Sexual assault can be a deeply traumatizing event in anyone’s life. Across the Air Force, Airmen and their families have access to Sexual Assault Prevention and Response or Family Advocacy Program resources to get support and guidance on how to move forward.
One thing Airmen worry about when they deploy is the well-being of their family, especially children who may have a hard time coping with the challenges that come with a parent’s deployment. The impact of deployment on children is a key component of Airmen readiness. Knowing their family is well helps Airmen focus on the mission.

***Access Improvement Opportunity for You and Your Family*** In an effort to improve acccess for the beneficiary population, the 355th Medical Group will be offering TRICARE Prime enrollment to off-base providers for Active Duty Family Members (ADFMs). Beginning on June 1st 2018, the 355th Medical Group will be allowing this transition for the first 500 currently enrolled ADFMs empaneled to Family Health who request an off-base Primary Care Manager. In order to complete this request, beneficiaries will need to visit the TRICARE office (located across from the main pharmacy) and be prepared by completing paperwork indicating the provider for who they would like to be enrolled with in the network. In addition to this opportunity, all adult (age 18 and over) Active Duty Family Members who arrive at Davis-Monthan from 1 June 2018 to September 2018, will be afforded the option of enrolling to an off-base Primary Care Physician and remain on TRICARE Prime. This enrollment will be automatic but if ADFMs prefer to be enrolled with the Davis-Monthan clinic, they will need to contact Health Net Federal Services at 1-844-866-9378 and indicate their intent to enroll on-base. Additional details are provided in the attached slides. For questions, please contact the Health Benefits Advisor at (520) 228-2634.
