Scott aeromedical Airmen respond to emergency on Southwest flight

Capt. James Bickel, 375th Operational Support Squadron evaluator flight nurse, and Capt. Jason Howell, 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron evaluator flight nurse, were part of the six-person AE crew that assisted a passenger who suddenly suffered from an allergic reaction aboard a commercial Southwest flight, June 21, 2019. The crew happened to be aboard the flight while on their way to Travis Air Force Base, Calif. for a training mission over the Pacific Ocean. Not pictured due to deployments and permanent changes of station is the team of 375th AES medics who assisted Bickel and Howell, including Tech. Sgt. Ieshia Pledger, Tech. Sgt. Christina May, Staff Sgt. Dustyn Lepage, and Staff Sgt. Ashley Shirley. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Tara Stetler)
